Profile – Lyn Francis – Dental Therapist

Lyn Francis graduated in 1984 at the Shellharbour School of Dental Therapy in NSW, obtaining her qualification as a Dental Therapist.

Lyn joined The Smile Lounge team in 2008 and brings excellence in clinical and interpersonal skills for the dental treatment of children.

She has extensive experience caring for children gained from working at various dental health centres throughout regional NSW and the ACT and provides valuable advice to parents relating to the importance of oral health for childhood development. Lyn is able to treat children up to the age of 18 in all aspects of dental care.

In addition to clinical skills Lyn has been a contributor to policy, education and training for dental professionals, infection control and oral health promotion including ‘The Healthy Canteens Project’. She was instrumental in the development of the NSW Dept of Health Oral Health Program ‘Natural Habits’ implemented statewide.
